One small complaint. The whole process was run online with email updates but when the passport was handed over to TNT for delivery it was only communicated by sms (and did not reflect on the online portal either). I wasn’t monitoring my sms so as a result missed the first delivery attempt.
Technically, I finally got the passport on 11/08/2023 (the next day).

Very easy to apply online in under 10 minutes at about 6pm. My daughter took a series of photos of me and I used one which scored high in the green zone. Old passport posted the next day. Great communication from the Passport Office. New and old passports received in the same post.

Week 1 – Application was sent on Monday, sent my old passport on Tuesday afternoon, received an email on Thursday they received my application.
Week 2 – Application was approved after 6 days (Wednesday), printed the next day (Thursday) and I received the following day

Applied for newborns twins passports, both on the same day. The person we got to confirm the identities we weren’t certain they met the requirements, but they were available and had met the babies. Passport Office wasn’t sure either: one baby passed, the other was rejected. By then they had met a few more people so were able to ask someone else to do it for the rejected confirmation a few hours later and both passports arrived on the same day, the one which had been delayed at ID stage a few hours before the other (by a different courier). It took a couple of days before we asked someone to ID, so it could have been a couple of days quicker.
