Very straightforward, the only stressful bit was waiting for the passport office to update when they received my old passport – but that was partially Royal Mail’s fault, as their tracking service went awol on 2nd and 3rd Oct, so no update from them that it had been delivered.
The passport was actually ready for delivery on 12th Oct but I chose to delay until 16th.
