@ricksrod Yeah, we got DHL tracking information for the passport as well as the supporting documents. The supporting docs have only just come through though

@ricksrod They sent me an email with a letter attached as PDF, which had the list of additional documents I needed to send along with the specific person who was dealing with the claim so it would go straight to them.

    It arrived today! It’s blue..

We had to provide some missing supporting documents, so it was delayed slightly longer. We got a direct person to send those documents too though, which meant it was only delayed by a week.

My husband called to make a complaint yesterday and spoke to a very rude member of staff who said that he couldn’t complain because “nowhere on the application did it say a timescale” even though my husband said he wanted to complain in general about the lack of information.

He mentioned that applications from abroad are slower, which is the first we’d heard of that and he couldn’t tell us why. We asked if we could add travel dates and he said it wouldn’t make a difference.

The only positive thing was that he said the application had been assigned to a team yesterday (it’s been “processing” since 15th June) and is now in a queue. He also mentioned that the three week average time normally starts from the point it is assigned to someone so we could still be weeks away.

Via Twitter and phone, I’ve not put a complaint in though. They haven’t been able to tell me anything so far.

Nope, still just waiting. I contacted my MP from before I moved abroad and they’ve sent a note on my behalf but I’ve heard nothing from HM Passport Office
