    Hi everyone

Wanted to give some hope that it’s not always the 2 month wait I was dreading.

Adult replacement for a previously lost passport – applied online and didn’t have to send in any documentation:

Passport printed and sent 12:17pm on 11 August 2020
    Application approved 3:07pm on 8 August 2020
Application being processed 1:19pm on 23 July 2020
Identity details received 2:46pm on 22 July 2020
Email sent to person confirming your identity 2:30pm on 22 July 2020
Ask someone to confirm your identity 2:27pm on 22 July 2020
    Application submitted 2:27pm on 22 July 2020

Just under one month total – now waiting for my passport to arrive. Clearly there’s a huge problem as some people take days and some people take 3 months…

I only messaged on Twitter once right at the start and told them my holiday date (end of Sept)

Good luck and hope everybody gets their holidays x

@kimmy could you possibly let me know the timeline for your replacement? Mine was lost and haven’t seen too many people replacing lost/damaged ones. Thanks!

    Hi everyone!

Looking for advice: I applied for a passport today which replaces my passport previously recorded as lost.

Would you book a holiday for exactly 2 months time based on current passport times? Some people have had luck, especially with pressuring through Twitter etc, so would love some advice. Thanks and good luck everyone!
