Having seen the announcement of the recent strikes and due to go away on the 5th May. Panic had set in. Originally booking a fast track 1 week but not being able to go until the 31st March. I came across this website and saw the average being only 14 days I decided to risk it, with the standard service and I’m blown away with the speed it was all processed. Sent my documents on 17th March via Royal Mail special delivery, which wasn’t delivered until the Monday.

No issues with the passport office, application was approved very quickly after receiving documents. However if you want your old passport to arrive at the passport office promptly then send as special delivery. I was advised by Royal Mail to send 1st class signed for and it took 12 days to arrive instead of the advertised 1-2 days.
