Astonishingly quick!! Took me 3 days to send the documents, they received them on the 2nd February and I received my passport on the 8th (6 days of which 4 working days). The application was straightforward but I am just amazed at how fast I received the passport.

Submitted online Wednesday evening 31/1/24. Sent old passport on Friday 2/2/24. Received new passport through the post Thursday morning 8/2/24.
I received messages at each stage. I realised the notifications were slightly delayed when I received a message from Royal Mail with a delivery date for the next day before I received the message saying the passport was printed & would be delivered in the next few days.
Very pleased that the process took just over a week. It may have been quicker if I’d had my old passport ready to post as soon as I applied for the new one.
