This was amazingly quick but I hadn’t realised that remaining months were not added on anymore, so lost 8 months of validity on the old passport – however, it needed to be renewed now for an upcoming trip so couldn’t have waited any longer.

Applied on line and sent old passport “signed for” the next day. Regular updates received and even though my home photo was rejected initially I received the new passport within 7 days. Very clear instructions and really good service.

13/09 application, Docs recieved 19/09 and authorised 6am 25/09 and printed 2pm same day. Notified by RM that delivery was expected 26/09 early evening and it was in hand by 5pm.
Although the photo was accepted online and it was third party confirmed as true resemblance to my daughter, they requested another picture as they thought it was not recent (she looks younger than her years!!) but when uploaded it was immediately accepted (4min) so didn’t delay it thankfully.
