Do you need an appointment?

Yes. Belfast Passport Office is an HM Passport Office customer service centre for booked visits. It is not a walk-in counter for standard applications. Finish your online application and choose a Premium collection time or Fast Track appointment before you travel.

Urgent appointments are booked through the official GOV.UK service. Eligibility and fees can change — always confirm details when you apply.

  • One-day Premium

    • Only available for eligible adult passport renewals
    • Passport is normally ready to collect about four hours after the appointment
    • The earliest appointment is ordinarily two days after applying
  • One-week Fast Track

    • Can cover renewals, changes of details, lost or damaged passports and many child passports
    • Completed passport is normally delivered by courier about one week after the appointment
    • Cannot be used for a first adult passport
