I’ve been told the same thing, all they offered me is to send a letter (!) to the passport office and ask for my foreign passport to be returned; but without knowing if the documents have been checked so that could reset the clock?!
so essentially even after being naturalised we are still second class citizens…

I applied for an adult renewal, I’m from Northern Ireland and for some reason I had to send it to Liverpool. Documents were received by them in June and still no update.

Application received – 2nd June 2022
Documents received – 15th June 2022

I have finally received my renewed adult passport today, 15 weeks after first applying!

Passport printed 8:19pm on 7 September 2022
Application approved 1:57pm on 7 September 2022
Documents received 11:56am on 7 June 2022
Application received 8:58pm on 27 May 2022
Application submitted 8:58pm on 27 May 2022
