On our application, we used my wifes maiden name as she has not changed her passport to her married name as it still had so long to run. So passport in maiden name but childs birth certificate with her married name on….but the birth certificate also shows her married name which linked it all up. Marriage certificate not requested.
When i was asked to send in my supporting docs (Birth certificate),the address these were sent to was Bootle.
From what i have read, you have probably got the docs recieved message twice as they have transferred the application to a different office. (I could of course be incorrect!)

As this website has been a daily part of life for the past month,i thought id share my timeline for my childs first passport. This went to the bootle office. We travel on the 23rd May.
Passport Delivered 5 May 2022
Passport printed on 4 May 2022
Application approved on 3 May 2022
Documents received on 13 April 2022
Application received on 3 April 2022
Identity details received on 3 April 2022

Application submitted on 2 April 2022Im also in this same situation. I did not send the marriage certificate off and just thought that the fact the birth certificate shows my wife maiden name will be enough. I will be interested to see how you get on. Our first child application went to documents recieved on 13/04 after applying on 03/04. Our holiday is booked for 23/05.
