    @Becky B

    I applied 4 days after you on the 16th and had to send the birth certificate to the Peterborough office too. I still haven’t had an update to say My documents have been received, I sent it 2 weeks ago today… we fly in 9 days!!
    Did you send your documents by tracked delivery with royal mail? If so, how long did it take for the tracking to change?

    Ah damn! I wish I was able to have sent them to bootle. It seems that’s the only office that have a decent turnaround time.

    I sent them on the 25th.. I know it hasn’t been long but there was nothing I could do as had to wait for her to be born.. I’m praying for a miracle 🙏 and just hope we’re one of the lucky ones and get it back in time. As soon as her documents are put on to the system I can apply for an upgrade. But I can’t do anything until then!

    So frustrating!! If we don’t get it in time I need to make other arrangements so it’s hard to know what to do right now. Can’t pack or anything either 🤷‍♀️ I also got told last week by the passport office that Peterbrough is one of their busiest offices… I’m praying for a miracle right now and just hoping that something goes our way 🤞

    Yeah I spoke to them this morning and as my status is still saying send us your documents they can’t do an upgrade until documents have been “received”. They’re telling me this could take 3 weeks which I don’t have, let alone what it will take for the passport to be printed and sent back to me!!

    Becky B That’s promising with receiving your documents within 10 days of the application. I sent my application on the 16th so I’m hoping they update with my documents soon! Are you travelling anytime soon because you can get an upgrade now your documents have been processed on the system. I’m still waiting for them to be received and updated on to the system annoyingly.

    I’ve sent 2 emails now to the Peterborough upgrade team but heard nothing. Due to fly 2 weeks today (18th May for a wedding) and they’ve still not submitted my daughters birth certificate on to her application!!! No idea what else I can do and I’m going out of my mind with stress and worry that my husband will have to go on his own (he’s best man) and I’ll be left at home with my 3 children, one being a newborn!! Not the family holiday we had hoped for thats for sure. Any advice would be much appreciated 🙏

    Anyone applied for child first passport recently? If so what is your timeline? We travel 2 weeks today for a wedding and I’m in desperate need of my daughters passport but they still haven’t updated her birth certificate onto the system so they’re saying there is nothing they can do until that happens.

    We’ve got to travel on the 18th May for a wedding in Greece. We’ve had to wait for our baby to be born before we could apply for her passport… we started the application on 16th April, sent the documents on the 25th. Chances of us getting the passport in time…? We have 18 days until we’re meant to be flying.. stressed is a complete understatement
