    After countless emails, phone calls, on hold, no call backs and Christ knows how many hours wasted we finally got a phone call, txt and email saying my Son’s passport is approved, printed and will be dispatched for next day delivery.

    Can’t breath sigh of relief until we have it in our hands.

    Was weird as although it’s been stuck at Durham office for 10 weeks they asked if we wanted to pick it up from Newport !

    Not sure if was the escalation upgrade email, expedite urgent mail or mail from our local MP that finally got it moving.

    We just had a call from HMPO say my sons was approved and being printed today then on a courier for delivery tomorrow touchwood, it’s 10 weeks exactly tomorrow.

    Countless phone calls, emails to upgrade teams, expedite team etc hours of on hold calls and sleepless nights it better turn up tomorrow.

    Question: my sons online application was sent to Durham office (we live in Weymouth) so they picked the furthest office away from us.

    Anyone got experience of them switching the offices ? we are at 10 weeks tomorrow, it’s been escalated to the upgrade team at Durham but no confirmation or timeline, we need to apply for visa’s latest 7 days before our planned travel which is 1st August.

    We can’t just go and turn up at the office in Durham it’s 6 and half hours away but could go to Newport.

    Hi any suggestions please let me know:

    My sons passport renewal went in on 4th May was updated on 15th with identity details received.

    It’s been there ever since then we try calling but the automated line said wait until July 1st we have tried everyday since then same message wait 10 weeks it’s 9 weeks today. we need to get visa application sorted by 15th otherwise it’s going to be cancel our holiday.

    tried emailing all I get back is call the same number and request an upgrade which is the same automated number with same response.

    They confirmed application received on 4th May, and also said all applications are dealt with in the 10 week service we used (next Wednesday is 10 weeks) if they approve it next Wednesday how long to have it in our hands, it’s not easy to arrange pick up as for what ever reason it’s gone to Durham office we are in Dorset why it never went to London or Newport I don’t know.
