I don’t think you could get it back because it takes 3/4weeks for return. You have to send in writing you want it returned. I’d hate to say it seems unlikely you will get it back in time.

Could you change your holiday dates? I’m so so sorry you are going through this.

LLMUMMA – yes we did the next day actually. I wasn’t expecting it to be so soon. Maybe that will be it and nothing will happen now for a few weeks.

My husband on the other hand sent befor us on 11th and still no news.

What does it say on RM tracking?

A1jeco- I tried to do this today with the process team and they said advice is not too book holiday until passport is received. I started my application 01/03/22 and travel 06/05/22. 10weeks before. But with the whole “application being processed” I feel I’ve lost hope! Let’s hope this alert does something.

Someone from the process team called me today and they said they put an alert on for the examiner. The current status is “your application is being processed”. What does this alert mean? And how long could it take? I’ve contacted my local MP Unsure if they can help though.

I’ve applied for a new passport for my 2nd child and renewal for my 1st child. I’ve done this online. I provided the details of both to be counter signing to two different people and they keep coming up as “looks like somethings gone wrong”. I’ve logged back into my account for both applications and tired to resend or print hard copy and I also get the same msg.
I contacted the passport office everyday that week and eventually been received a call back 10days later. They told me to send docs in and a covering letter. I then called back few days later and they said to send in a post office form only complete section 10 and counter sign two photos which i did. Now the application status is gone to “your application is currently being processed”. I’m now worried I will not receive the passports before we travel 06/05/22.
FYI when I started the application it was around 10weeks prior to travel.

Application being processed 17 March 2022
    Documents received 15 March 2022
Email sent to person confirming your identity 1 March 2022
Ask someone to confirm your identity 1 March 2022

On 01/03/22 I started the process of 1 child new passport and 1 child renewal. I sent the link to my friend however the link did not work she received an error msg. I tried to resend but I kept receiving an error msg.

I called the office and was told to wait for a call back. The call back took 10days. During this call I was asked to provide a cover letter to explain I have parental responsibility for my children. Provide documents such as old passport for renewal and birth certificate for new passport. I was also asked to complete countersigning which I explained I couldn’t do. They received and updated my documents on the system fairly quick.

I called back again 3days later and they said I should go to post office complete only section 10 (countersigning) submit two photos.

The following day they’ve update the status on 18/03/22 to say “currently being processed”. I called again and they said it’s with examiner.

Once again the information the provided was incorrect. I should have been asked to complete a page 1 countersigning. Not one from a post office.

I am really annoyed the application is being delayed because they can’t give me the right information in the first instance.

Who knows how long it will be “processing” for and i fly 06/05/22

You won’t be able to cancel and have your documents returned on time for travel. You need to write in a letter for cancellation. Apparently 3weeksbto return docs. Good luck I hope you get ur passport on time
