According to the passport office they’re taking 8 weeks to process.
If I haven’t had a call for interview in two weeks time I’ll have to contact them again.
I travel exactly 4 weeks from today 😳 starting to get a little nervous now!
Can anyone tell me about the return of their birth certificates? I’ve been processing for the 4 weeks now, I’ve not even had my mums or my birth certificates back yet.
Phoning them today though.

It’s made me so annoyed. I deliberately used a booth to ensure my picture wouldn’t get returned, I was more then prompt in getting all the supporting documents sent and my identity verified, it’s like I’ve been lost or something! First thing Monday I will be on that telephone to them!@KCBK
Still processing! 4 weeks now as of yesterday!! I’m actually so fed up and angry because there are people who have applied at the end of July and had there passports already! I can’t quite believe how random everything is!!I have tried contacting them through twitter as well. I was told to PM them with my code but they still haven’t read it so on Monday I plan to try and phone again because 4 weeks processing is ridiculous imo.

It’s the same for me sadly! So many people here have approvals quite soon after processing but mines been stuck there for 20 days now!
It took about two weeks for them to acknowledge my documents which were actually received only two days after I submitted my application!Application being processed 10 July

I think what’s most frustrating is how you can apply at the same time or even just one day before/after someone and you end up with such massive differences in your journey.I genuinely didn’t think the processing would take this long.
Is yours a first time or renewal? Mine is a first adult passport.
I have been processing now for 18 days! I seem to be really stuck. Applied 19 June. Guess they’ve just stuck me in a pile now haha
Your update inspired em to look. I also had no notification however as of yesterday I was updated to ‘being processed’ woohoo!

Application submitted 19 June 2020@CaboG I don’t think this is really a place for you to hold any judgement. Many people have these flights booked from before the virus and some of us, like me, can’t cancel or change the flight because they are saying the flights are still going ahead. Ours was for a wedding and we booked long before the virus.
So perhaps just keep your discussion to the passport office in question and your experience and not what you think or don’t think about others actions.

@OwBrH I’m still at “Documents received 7th July” it was updated about 6:30pm as well. Very peculiar time!
@OwBrH I am off to Crete, staying in Gouves. I’m so excited because my children are going to stay at their dads. My uni course doesn’t start for a week after I return from the trip, and they both begin school at the start of September so it’s perfect timing.
How about you? I presume you have something booked? Sorry if you have previously stated, it’s hard to keep up at times. Mine wasn’t processing this morning but I think I will check again now, just in case! If not, this now puts you ahead of me! The race is on haha
@charlie2566 I was just thinking how incredibly speedy that was as well. I’m still waiting for them to process my application, print and send it. It took 9 days for my documents to be registered on the system from delivery.
