Can someone please help, application sent for child’s renewal on 1st October and documents received on 12th haven’t heard anything since. Travelling on the 9th does anyone know if this is possible??? Roughly how long does it take for it to be approved since documents receive date from Peterborough please help!!! Is there anyway to contact their office??🙏🙏

It seems many people get theirs back about 3 weeks after docs received. Wouldn’t rely on that though.

Hi all I finally have got approval from Peterborough office child renewal. 25 days from submitted and 16 days exc Sundays from documents received. Timeline as below:
Application approved: 1:50pm on 3 November 2021
Documents received: 3:06pm on 15 October 2021
Application received: 2:14pm on 10 October 2021
Identity details received: 2:14pm on 10 October 2021
Email sent to person confirming your identity: 8:52pm on 9 October 2021
Ask someone to confirm your identity 8:02pm on 9 October 2021
Application submitted 8:02pm on 9 October 2021

Does anyone know if there is a delay in receiving the old passport at Peterborough? Its been a week since the document was signed for and yet there is no movement on the portal.

Ours were updated on the 18th as received. How long will they take now is anyone’s guess. I called them and they said 3 to 5 weeks. I even asked if I can expedite it and the answer was categorically no.

We go on holiday in 4 weeks. I know people who applied same time and got there’s back already. I was going to ring them but doesn’t seem there is much point.

Looking though this forum, Peterborough looks like they are the slowest on turnaround times. I too am looking to travel in just under 4 weeks time and I am getting nervous as the days go by. Good luck on calling them, I hope you get more joy then I did.
