Hi all,

I booked a cheap one way flight last Friday so I can start the upgrade process for my daughters first passport off early.

Called 0300 105 0850 and emailed all passport offices last Friday, was contacted by Durham at 8:30 on Sunday and got a email of application approval by 8:45 and the cheap flight I booked isn’t until 27th May and our actual family holiday flight isnt until 19th June.

If you have time on your side take things into your hands and get things started earlier and book a cheap flight to start the upgrade process rather then waiting until 2 weeks away from your actual flights.

Afternoon All,

Out of interest has anyone booked cheap flights so you can use the upgrade service earlier?

We are due to fly 19th June so have a bit of time on our side although im tempted to just booked a cheap flight so I can start the upgrade process now.

Thoughts?

Im not entirely sure, my wife put the application together.

Although my local passport office is London.

Documents received 5:08pm on 26 April 2022
Application received 9:30pm on 12 April 2022
Identity details received 9:29pm on 12 April 2022
Email sent to person confirming your identity 9:18pm on 12 April 2022
Ask someone to confirm your identity 9:12pm on 12 April 2022
Application submitted 9:12pm on 12 April 2022

We are due to fly 19th June so im hoping we should be ok…
