@wittcomb – its all good and well submitting your application on the 3rd but if the passport office are still waiting for your supporting documentation nothings getting done. Your documents weren’t received until 11th June and subsequently your application didn’t move to ‘Application being processed’ until the 12th June.

Its very good of you to raise the issue of other people affected by long wait times with your MP – i’m sure people affected by long wait times will be grateful. Perhaps forward planning might be something you can look to improve going forward.

@anxiouslywaiting Have you spoken to complaints? You should give them a ring if you have been waiting since March.

@wittcomb with all due respect they only got your application on the 12th June. Others have been waiting around 100 days.

Hopefully you get it in time to go away but you have left it very late.

Hi @kamil. I applied for my daughters first passport on 14th march, it was finally approved today. So hopefully you won’t have to wait much longer. I agree the customer service has been appalling. They can only see what online applicants can see themselves. Best thing is to say you want to speak to complaints. The guy told me on Friday it would be done by Tuesday and it was today. He also could see the actual application and photo etc. Think he was in the Liverpool office

Yeah i asked to be transfered and was put straight through no callbacks and no delays.

eventually got through to complaints today who have apologised and dont know why me new photo was not reviewed within 24 hours.They are saying it will be done by monday now. If not the guy gave me his direct number to call him on next week. So far its been 104 days and counting for a 1st child passport sent to Liverpool before lockdown…

Yeah it had a tick next to it! but in the small print it does say thats not a guarentee of the photo being acceptable its just a guide!

Yeah its beyond a joke. If i cant get it in time for my holiday next month i’ll be writing to my MP. Some people are getting new passports in a week!

i have had 2 callbacks but both updates were just generalisations ‘we’re extremely busy’ etc.

Since its been 10 days, hopefully its been accepted this time then and i get the passport. The woman was lecturing me about booking holidays without having a passport in hand, silly me assumed 6 months was more than enough time!
