Thanks AD191 – that’s encouraging news. Glad yours has been approved. A big relief!

Thanks I’ll do that – also once the passports are approved do you get a text message or will you only find out by checking the timeline?

Also called complaints as suggested but they said I need to wait a month before escalation or 16days before my flight – which both falls at pretty much the same time!

Applied on the 28th for adult renewal (Glasgow) and child renewal (Durham)- Both stuck at ‘application processing’ for over a week now. Will call again next week to see if they can move things along although hoping i don’t have to chase them and they just move it along as that is painful in itself! Travelling mid August, however, just don’t want to receive them last minute! Far too stressful!

Looking back through everyone’s timeline I don’t think there has been any approvals on Saturday – although I could be wrong however, also living in hope!!! Anxious and frustrated but also trying to get through the weekend without thinking about it although it’s super hard!!!

Oh gosh fishkins – do let us know what you do and how you progress! It is quite frustrating as some people have been waiting a long time and some people have sent passports later and have had it back in a week or two. I read an earlier post where someone said they needed their passport urgently and they got it printed and sent out the same day! So it’s hard to say! If you ask anyone at HMPO they will say they can guarantee anything. If you booked before Covid maybe they might be able to do something for you! Either way – good luck!

Hi – looking at both your time lines, Im hoping then that mine will be approved sometime next week as I applied on the 28th june. Please let me know how quick it moves to printing and sent and when you receive it thanks. Will give some form of indication on how long i might be waiting too.

    thanks

    Phew – pleased for you jamesd1974! 🙂

I submitted mine on the 28ths so hoping maybe sometime next week by your timeline.

I spoke to complaints as you suggested. As we are flying on mid-august I just need to wait another week to escalate so hoping for some progress in that time, so that I dont have to chase them. Both passports stuck at ‘Application being processed’. Fingers crossed!

Thanks jamesd1874 I will try that as I did book flights in January for august and more than likely are going ahead. Applied two weeks ago and can see a few people have applied at the same time Or after and have had passports approved or on their way!

AJDwaiting and pix6608 – glad to hear yours have been approved – it gives me abit of hope – but still so anxious about it and have a 11 year old son who keeps asking me where his passport is everyday and if we are going to make it on holiday this year!

    Hi

How do you manage to get them to escalate your case?

    Hi All,

I’m also experiencing Glasgow as taking time. I submitted my husbands application on the 28th June. They received the old passport on the 2nd July and acknowledged on the 6th. Went to application processing on the 8th, so pretty quick and I was feeling hopeful, but now it’s been stuck at application process a week on.

Hi @AndyH – managed to get a response from HM Passport twitter account. The lady said, I can only escalate if I havent received the passports two weeks before we fly and we may have to provide proof of flight details. So technically, for me, that would make it 4 weeks after application.
