Hi all, during my application 20th April, (fly june 18). I contemplated fast tracking as less than gov issued 10 weeks. Glad I went normal cheapest route. I know its stressful but leave as long as you can and try not be tempted to pay over the odds for this service. My app went to we need more info after docs were received, due to ( I was told) possible mis spelling of surname on app (bollocks), anyway had to send birth certificate down to corby ( app was at peterborough) doh! needn’t have worried as was approved couple days later in all just 23 days start to finish. Sooo calm down relax it will sort itself out. At the moment 10 weeks seems enough time but please make sure you triple check all details on app before submitting AND take pics of each page etc. Good luck have a great holiday.

being processed means there is a problem either name change or proof of surname or just something that does not match up with old passport or first child passport req more time to process, eg child may have different parents etc or changed their surname from birth. As said in a previous reply if you accidently imput a comma or bracket on a digital form it is rejected until someone either approves/corrects mistake but usually after proof is given by client.

Hi. If your application says processing there is a problem with it, ie wrong spelling of surname instigating a change of name proof which happened to mine, sent birth certificate only then was approved. I think they input my surname wrongly on system so it was rejected as different to original passport. Probably not possible to check your original app unless you took pics etc. Even if you put a comma where it should not be it will be rejected and passes to an investigator which can take some time I’m afraid, good luck.
