I have tried to call the HM today. Oh bloody hell it was a big head, 2 hours 30 minutes still no help they put me through different departments they take my details put the music back on then I have to wait, then at the end they said we are experienced high number of calls you can call back later. They are taking piss, so annoyed. Try email them as well let’s see what’s happening next.
Sent old passport to Corby 18th March and tracked the delivery. It was signed for on 21st March. But yet to see it updated on application as it’s not marked as received. Definitely Corby are slow at updating or assigning passport to someone to sort out.
I sent another 2 passports for renewal to Liverpool on the same day and they have already updated that they have received it and approved application.I submitted my application on 14th March, sent the passport back on 15th via Royal Mail signed for. It only updated to say it had been delivered on 30th March. After speaking with Royal Mail they said it would have been delivered by 16th but it does get recorded until the passport office scan it (not sure if this is true). Anyway from posting off on 15th until now, my application still says awaiting documents. I’ve called numerous times and each time I’m told to just wait a bit longer. It is so frustrating.
My passport application is with Corby, it is an adult renewal and name change.

Has anyone got any updates on their passport? Mine has finally been approved Im just wondering how long I might have to wait for it to be printed and posted out.
How long after your passport was printed did you get notification that it was being delivered? Mine says printed but not sent yet

After reading hundreads of comments this week which has given me sleepless nights (lost a lil weight too, which isn’t bad) I would recommend fast track it’s more expensive but not as much as you would lose if you have to cancel your holiday. Also for peace of mind people who are renewing a child (teenager) get a countersignatory for the picture my son has hit has grown loads person opinion you can still notice it’s him from his first passport but I’m hiding a computer isn’t too sure.I’ll be ready this forum everyday until I actually get it in my hands. Good luck everyone.

Child to adult went straight through, got it back about 2 weeks ago.
Still waiting on movement on the child renewal. Looking at these posts some people have been processed quicker than this, any ideas.

Applied 1st April but didn’t get id/photo confirmed by my contact till 12th April.
Promptly got a request to send the documents (previous passport) which I did next day, first class recorded delivery.
RM confirmed delivery and signed for on 14th, but Corby did not update as received until 20th April.Application approved 20th
Passport printed 26th….they said I would get a notification when dispatched but actually I only got that by text message 20 minutes before the postman put it through the letter box today (28th)**I saw some people on Facebook asking others what address to send documents to and people giving out any office address! Make sure you use the address in your email from HM passport office and use your specific reference number**
