    So for anyone who was following my post from last couple of weeks….
    Submitted 21st Jan – Received 8th March
    My travel date was 9th March for a work trip.
    I did my renewal online and uploaded my own photo that was accepted and application submitted. I found out on 5th March from progress team that my phot was actually rejected due to a slight shadow on my face but I was never asked for a new photo. Apparently if the robot rejects it then it goes to manual processing and has to physically go into to someone’s hand to be checked. I imagine this is why some take long than others. Eventually after A LOT of calling, pestering, uploading my evidence of travelling I was called by Peterborough office evening of the 7th March advising me that it was now with them (I had requested local printing so that I could go and collect instead of wait for delivery) She told me as it was now urgent they would do there best to get it done and would call me back in the morning. I had to call customer management team twice before 12pm the next day pushing for an update and then about 15 mins after my 2nd phone call Peterborough office called me to ask me to collect my passport from Peterborough office that afternoon. Of course I went to collect and thankfully managed to make it on my trip.

    Based on my experience I would recommend having and professional passport photo done to avoid application moving over to a manual system. Clearly I’m made up that I managed to get it in time but I’m very disappointed that if I had been given the opportunity to submit and new photo on 4th Feb then potentially I could have avoided a lot of stress and a 5 hour round trip and the fuel having to drive to collect. I’m considering putting in a complaint

    It just seems to be random luck of the draw at the moment!
    I submitted 21st Jan
    Passport received 28th Jan
    Started processing 10th Feb
    3 weeks on still sat waiting for examiner
    There is literally nothing more I can do but ride out the nerve racking wait :’(

    Was that 10th Feb that it went to processing or when you submitted application?

    I’ve been in processing since 10th February so I’m hoping tomorrow is the day for approval! I’m. Also flying on Wednesday for work! :s
    This has been the most stressful few weeks of my life!! 🙁

    Is that 20 days since the first date of processing? I think examiners work on Saturdays so if so I’ll be at 20 days this coming Saturday might not completely give up hope that I will come by Tuesday :s

    I’m still waiting for processing!!! Been 3 weeks now. Applied 21st Jan and I fly for work a week today
    I don’t think there is anything else I can do. I don’t understand what is taking so long.
    This is driving me crazy!!

    NavSG/jespop30 – did you receive replies or acknowledgment of your emails and action being taken or did the progress page online just update?

    I have been asked to send my flight details over to the then but the email they gave me keeps bouncing back as incorrect. What the email address you used please?

    When I finally managed to speak to someone in the progress team he advices against me booking a fast track and claim lost passport as the passport isn’t lost and they can prove its with them its fraudulent and prosecutable 😫
    Still no update on the application tracking site, I’m am so stressed!
    I need it before 9th March and so far we are at just over 5 weeks since my application

    Getting very stressed now!!
    I’m flying for work on 9th March.
    I have called everyday this week asking for this to be pushed on. The lady I spoke to on Friday has added a note to my application to say that it’s now urgent. Currently still waiting for examiner. Is there anything more I can do?!!
