SO feel beyond lucky to have collected my passport today from tnt.
Timeline (adult renewal)
7/3 applied
16/3 receive old passport on system
17/3 approved
21/3 printed
24/3 showed on tnt tracking
26/3 out for delivery (only knew this from checking tnt) – didn’t deliver
28/3 drove to collect from depot with successThings I learnt – it seemed each time I called HMPO my application moved on – coincidence maybe? Check tnt tracking directly as no message came. Maybe helped I had a code for my photo? I was told of a Thursday collection of passport from tnt (coincidence mine showed up on a thursday?) – tnt will leave outlying postcode (like mine) for up to 4 days so call and book a collection to stop the anxiety! Don’t panic and cancel your app as I was advised two weeks ago as they won’t guarantee a return of old passport and you can’t do a fast track with out it. Call more than once – you certainly get good and bad advisers – some seem to delight in your desperation others have incredible empathy – it takes time to get through but worth it for me – I got my old passport back the day after new was printed….. so I feel blessed to be able to look forward to our first holiday in two Years or more! And my husband is talking to me again! 3 weeks start to finish is a brilliant turnaround but I did push so good luck all.

So I still have no passport but have hope for tomorrow. Printed 20th tracking on tnt updated Thursday night – saying delivery Saturday – I changed it to Friday – no show – called passport at depot I was told I can collect – drove only to find no weekend passport collections so I am hoping delivery tomorrow – if not can collect up to 8pm 🤞
This is me so far – highs and lows – and now in a hold just waiting for tnt to update so i can stop being so anxious! I spoke to them today (standard 1hr.11 mins to get through for info) and was told it would be 7 working days arfte approval for it to be delivered (this is the guide not guarantee) – i said when will tracking update and was told when tnt collect it – so for me i was approved 17/3 (a week today) so should receive monday / tuesday next week. I will be delighted if that is the case but just cant relax without any tracking to know its happening.

Hi. This is so worrying. I travel in two weeks. It was approved 17th but not print and sent yet. I can see you all have waited longer. Is there a good number to use? I just want to see if I can collect it or not use TNT or anything to get hold of it. I am in such a state over the whole thing and varing info
Mine was signed for on 9th March and marked as received today. I am in a desperate situation. Called 3 times today and got no where to understand how I can get a passport asap – has anyone got a contact number? I only have the one on the main gov.uk site? I have got myself in a real state today realising I totally miscalculated how long we had u top we travel. Three calls today – 3 different answers to if I can cancel get old passport returned and then pay for fast track. I have no idea which office it is being processed at (interested in how I find out?) but this forum is so so helpful to give me some

9.3.22 old passport signed for at passport office
16.3.22 updated as document received.The conclusion I came to today is I should hold on and hope I am a lucky quick one as I was told no promise on how long it would take to return my old passport. I travel on 5th April – I am in such a state and so cross with myself I don’t know what to do without clear guidance from HM passport. I wonder if anyone has been in this situation. I wonder if I chance paying for fast track and hope they accept they hold my passport so I can’t produce it?
