For a replacement passport can you got to local office 48 hours before flight? Even if passport is lost.
Sorry, it doesn’t answer your question! But just if anyone knew

It’s actually turns out my application hasnt been withdrawn, as I called them and they said it is active. Despite me receiving an email and text this morning stating withdrawn application. Totally in the dark now 😭

So 48 hours before flight they will get it sorted at a office? Regardless of where abouts the passport is in terms of progress?

Boblee4 yes this is a option, and willing to do so, but at the risk of being turned away. I don’t have everyday free to do so. It’s still an hour and half drive one way.

    Does it actually work?

Call back done after a hour on hold and email with proof sent along with preference of collection at the office a d further instructions from me. Yes there is no guarantee Unfortunately. I originally sent my application on 27th February and that was stated in the email. So will see if it gets noticed

Currently sat at 13.5 weeks and noone has even looked at my application. Called and called, emailed and emailed (noone repsonded!) MP office helped a bit and apparently been escalated as of last week but still not update. Now sat waiting on a call back for upgrade team because it’s 2 weeks before fly and now been told will take up to 72 hours to call back (11 days before fly)
Has anyone had any experience with just turning up to an office to get it sorted/printed? I will wait all day if I have to.
My passport in Liverpool but our closest office is Peterborough which is doable at a 1.5 hour drive one way.

Clee, I am in the same position. I called so many times, various different answers and promises all to be done done. Mines has been in Liverpool since 19th April, an I’m due to fly 29th July. Latest answer is they will not do anything till 2 weeks before I fly. So 15th July!
I did contact my local mp and they’ve been very helpful in actually telling me more on what the actual situation is. 2 weeks before you fly they will do a 1 week fast track process, only in flight order though! So it could end up 48 hours before until they contact me in order to go to my local office and collect (fortunately for me it ain’t that far). All this info was from the local mp. And they have also been following it up and if I don’t hear any progress by Wednesday then I’m to contact the mp office again for them to follow up.

Always worth a try. Annoying as it to wait.

Helly87 I’ve tried emailing them and had no response back. The phone call last week, I’ve heard nothing since, it’s now going to be me raging at them soon.

Does anyone know for sure 100 percent you can go to a local office and get one printed? Mines a renewal that got lost in the post

I tried calling them and despite them even stating I had originally sent my application in 24th Feb, they would.make a note on my application my flight date of 29th July and that printing takes 1 and a half weeks. Doesn’t fill me with much confidence that they actually want to fast track mine. Should I call again?

Ginge, did your husband just turn up or make an appointment? I would much rather get mine sorted at the office saves the worry but 48 before I fly just ain’t going to work 🙈I run a business and its peak season

Helly87 I got told they had put a note on my application for it to be done by which is 29th July which is the date I fly. Only hope that they did do that.
Unfortunately for me my tracking won’t ever change as my old passport was originally lost in the post. So I won’t know what’s happening.
Despite my pleas of needing it asap, the note was sent. I have to call back in 2 weeks time if I’ve not received or heard anything (2.5 weeks before I fly). From then I don’t know what will happen. I would rather go to an office and wait.
