@yardo20 I received a text to say they had sent it.
Application submitted for child renewal on 20th June; passport received today.
Son’s renewal submitted on 20th June and only just at the process stage.
My daughter’s was signed for on 24th June and they acknowledged on 26th June. It was approved on 1st July so didn’t take long at all. There doesn’t seem to be any logic on the order of processing applications?
It took Peterborough 8 days from signing for it to say they had received my son’s old passport. It’s at the process stage now. My daughter’s is a few stages ahead and only took 3 days to process before approval. Seems like they are starting to process passports quicker so hopefully yours should be acknowledged soon.
Thanks @debs55. I called them today but they wouldn’t even take the passport application number to check. They said just to wait as they are very busy!
How long did it take for the passport office to send the text to say they had received the old one? I’m still waiting for them to text me about my son’s even though royal mail said it was signed for last Tuesday. Thanks
I sent my son’s first class signed for and they received it the next day. I sent my daughter’s special delivery and that arrived the following day as well.
I sent my son’s old passport back on Monday and it was signed for at the passport office on Tuesday, however the passport office haven’t updated yet to say they received it.
I sent my daughter’s old passport on Tuesday, it was signed for on Wednesday and I received notification that the passport office have received it today. They obviously don’t process them in order?
