    We’ve got the passport and supporting documents delivered today. So don’t give up as they can get it done the same day and delivered the next day!

    Based on the successful stories here (including ours) most of us got the call very late, like 2 days before the flight. And once they call and take the payment, the passport can be collected later in the afternoon or next day 10am from your local office. But the problem is just it’s not guaranteed that you will get the call.
    I saw a post in the Facebook group someone going to the Liverpool office without an appointment as they were flying in 2 days. She said there was long queue outside (people in the same situation) and they were told by the security that they would not be seen. But at the end she was in and got the upgrade done. So I’m not saying it’s what you should do. But in your situation it’s not just a holiday for yourself (I guess there will be guests traveling to your wedding, based on what you wrote), so maybe that worth a try. Even if you can postpone, you don’t know when you will have the passport.

    I finally got the call this morning and my daughter’s passport and the supporting documents should arrive next Tuesday. Had to move our flight from 26th April to the end of the week though but at last this long stressful time finished!!!
    Hope you all get the call in time !!

    We were supposed to fly on Tuesday but because we need the supporting documents back as well (my husband’s passport) and they are in Peterborough office. We have the option to move our flight to the end of the week so we are going to do that. They offer me to collect everything from Peterborough office on Monday but it’s just too much to travel all the way their when I can’t drive and I have a baby and a toddler. So I have to let them post the supporting documents to us and fingers crossed they arrive early next week. I wish I could just pay for a Royal Mail next day delivery guarantee for them to post the documents today!!!!

    I think I saw some successfully done the upgrade saying they were offered to collect on Saturday.
    Fingers and toes and everything crossed for us!!!

    Yes our flight is 26th Apr and I email on 12th and again on the 19th. Still nothing. Called today and the agent said it’s not guaranteed and nothing they can do as they don’t work in the upgrade team.
    I emailed again today with my flight date in the subject and praying for the call will come tomorrow

    who told you this is guaranteed??? I was told all the time that this is not guaranteed!!!
    I guess once they call you and take your payment then yes it’s guaranteed that you will have the passport very soon (most I saw it’s ready the next day) But not guaranteed they will contact you.
    I’ve been waiting since last Tuesday and still heard nothing from them

    Great to hear that. I applied for my daughters first passport and all the updates are about 1 week after yours. Our flight is 26th and had email Peterborough 3 times since last Tuesday for the upgrade. Still heard nothing.
    I will wait till end of the weekend to see if anything happens.
    Good to know that they let you collect from London office as well. I hope we can collect the supporting documents at the same time cause we need my husband’s passport back before the flight!!!

    Same timeline as yours. Status moved to “being processed” on 19th Apr. Emailed to the upgrade team last Tuesday 12th and not heard anything

    I just spoke to the customer service line and was told because I didn’t put the flight date in the subject, I should email again with that. So I emailed Peterborough upgrade team (forwarded my original email sent last Tuesday) and put in all the information again. Ive also cc my local office. And I got an auto reply from the London office but nothing from Peterborough office. No auto reply the first time I emailed and then I got reply last time on Tuesday but not this time again .
    Is this normal??

    Great News!
    May I ask when did you email them and which office you emailed to?

    So did you get a call from the upgrade team after you emailing them?

    I’m gonna call them and email again as another 48 hours gone and still hear nothing
