    @aimeejoy89 Have you had any luck today with someone getting back to you? I’m hoping they have and you make your flight this evening!

    @LAPP best best is to try and contact customer service first, as you need to find out which office your application is with. They often internally transfer applications to different offices without letting you know, so I would advise checking before sending anything. Depending on what stage your application is at, they may also advise you to contact your local office as opposed to the one dealing with your application.

    You need to be travelling within 2 weeks time or they wont look at your request. Then it’s a case of emailing your full name, DOB, address, application reference number, contact details (email and phone number), date of travel and evidence/confirmation of flight details to [relevant office]UpgradeTeam@hmpo.gov.uk.

    All – just to say I’ve been advised to make sure the email you send your upgrade request to needs to be capitalised as e.g. LiverpoolUpgradeTeam@hmpo.gov.uk and not just liverpoolupgradeteam@hmpo.gov.uk. Apparently the latter wont go through, for reasons beyond my techphobic mind! You should get an automatic reply through from whichever office you email.

    What possible reason would they have not to work on Tuesday?! So sorry @aimeejoy89 especially as you have moved your flight! How their customer service team is allowed to get away with telling outright lies is beyond me – anywhere else and you’d be fired. Let’s see what they’re saying again tomorrow. Some people on Twitter appear to be saying they relieved calls from the upgrade teams over the weekend despite us being told they were off for the bank holiday…

    @aimeejoy89 I’ve been told the upgrade teams are still working through this weekend so you might still hear something! It’s painful I know but another call might be worth a shot – I got through straight away about 20 mins ago.

    I suppose there will be a lot of people looking to get away for Easter so they might be the focus at the moment, as opposed to all our emails just being straight up ignored! Fingers crossed for everyone and hopefully on the basis we all seem to be travelling around the same time (I’m the 26th) we can keep each other updated.

    Maybe to be on the safe side email both the office processing your application and cc in your local office and just make it clear in your email you’re doing so because you’ve been given conflicting information? If you’ve already emailed one then just forward it to the other and say the same thing.

    I got through to someone in processing today who confirmed my email should be sent to the Liverpool office where my application is – not Glasgow, my local office and where I was initially told to email. Apparently this is because my application has moved from being in the ‘digital’ system to manual (which I assume means it needs to be checked by an actual human being, hence the delay in it progressing). Definitely worth double checking where it should be sent because it seems a lot of people are losing valuable time being told to email the wrong office!

    I was told they are phoning people back in order of who is travelling soonest, so I assume they are currently dealing with people who are set to travel in the next few days. I was also told no need to attend any office as they should be able to do everything remotely.

    Still saying I’ll receive a call in 48 hours but I’m not holding my breath given other peoples experiences on here. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt that they’re working in order of date of travel and still leaving us all enough time to get the upgrade through but let’s wait and see.

    Oh and I was also told not to expect anyone to phone over the Easter weekend as they’ll all be on holiday, which means if we don’t hear anything tomorrow it’ll be Tuesday at the very earliest. Yikes!!!

    I was told to email Glasgow on the basis it’s my local office, but my application is being processed at Liverpool – should it be Liverpool I’m emailing then? Thanks all!
