I also received my passport today after application on 14th April. I went online to apply but this was manually processed as it was a damaged passport.
Thus has been stressful as I travel next week. My tips are:
Contact your MP. Things started to move after his insolvent.
Web chat apply 8.01. When it says agent free immediately just fill in name don’t bother with rest of form. If it says waiting for agent, hang on don’t refresh page.
Calling. Probably a waste of time unless youbare within 2 weeks of travel then ring. Don’t ask for update team
Ask for expedite team.
Mine was approved 18th, printed 20th sent to DHL on 23rd. Down load DHL parcel app for tracking. Mine was Peterborough. TNT & Royal Mail also used. Good luck everyone

Understand if your with 48 hours of travel you will be seen. You can go to nearest office

I sent a letter and when was on webchat 4 days later she could see it had been scanned onto system

This is awful. Try webchat. Go onto main Passport site select webchat. Don’t fill in page when it says agent free just put 1st name and click. If it says waiting agent stay on page. Good luck

Davbell1187. I’m sure it will be. Things seem to be moving forward now. On another forum and apparently if you have been 10 weeks upgrade is free. Have you tried chatline? They seem to have more power than phoneline

Hi. Get your MP involved and try webchat. Mine has now been approved. Was damaged so same queue as lost/ stolen which is manual processing rather than digital

Hi Michael. Got approval Wednesday and printed tonight. Going to courier in next few days. Never want to go through this stress again

You don’t want to see processing it means manual checking and can take ages. It appears May applications going through faster than feb/March.

Catch. Do it now. I sent email last Saturday and replied within an hour. He’s been on my case and updating me. Finally got approval. Also try webchat think that helped. See post on damaged passports
