Sending your original passport to someone within the UK will not speed up your renewal.

Looks like you need to apply for a new adult passport

You can apply for a first adult passport if all of the following apply:

you’re a British national
you’re aged 16 or over (or will be in 3 weeks)
you’ve never had a UK passport before
You must also apply if your last UK passport was issued before 1 January 1994.

You can use your child passport until it expires, even if you’re over 18.

An adult passport is valid for 10 years.

Got a phone call at 18.30 tonight, spoke to the guy and my application has been approved and it’s now getting printed

Just got a phone call from the passport office, my phone lit up and that was it, my phone says it rang for 1 second but there was no ring tone, just hope that me not missed my chance?

Upsidedown, When i spoke to HMPO yesterday they lady said i was exactly 10 weeks and that was taken when it was submitted

I phoned the normal number this morning, i’m 10 weeks waiting today, the lady said she’d expedite my passport but there’s something in me saying this won’t happen

The Belfast office seems to be a complete shambles

going to the passport office is ok if you’re near by, i’m the east coast of Scotland and my passport is in Belfast
